NEW POSTER ✨ The Killing Of A Sacred Deer 🩸🫀🦌 Yorgos always inspires me for my best type 😌✨

In light of the recent release of the new Yorgos Lanthimos film “Poor Things” and also the highly-anticipated new twisted, dark-humored thriller “Saltburn” starring Barry Keoghan, I thought of revisiting this unique film that also was one of the very first movies I made a tribute poster for when I started my journey as a poster artist.

Such an eerie, disquieting yet engrossing horror piece, Yorgos’ particular storytelling and stylisms are at their weirdest in Killing Of A Sacred Deer. This time around, I wanted to push my type sensibility to a sophisticated yet unexpected level, taking some of my known traits like scattered letters, vertical type alignments, and dynamic type treatments as main influences while also bringing my most recent photo-editing look.

The result is this key art with Keoghan’s overpowering face taking most of the canvas with the film’s title falling like tears. Hope you enjoy this take on the Kubrickian, Hanekesque, awkward, unsettling, weirdly scary “The Killing Of A Sacred Deer”.
