Bram’s Stoker Dracula

“I am the monster that breathing men would kill. I am Dracula.”

This is my poster for Francis Ford Coppola version of Bram Stoker classic.
I wanted to portrait a lot of the elements of the movie, as I usually do, while giving it all a dramatic and theatrical flair.

For the regular version I thought of a warm, crepuscular color set, evocating the warm tones of the movie.

For the Blood Red variant I wanted something with red and golden, evocating, obviously, blood, but also some of the wonderful costumes worn by Dracula, specially the iconic red-gold gown he wears first as an old man, and the awesome demonic red armor of the flashback sequences.
This was printed in pearlescent red paper with metallic gold ink for titles and the frame design.

The look of 1890s photographies and movies gave the idea for the gray/silvery variant.
This one was printed in pearlescent silver paper, with red metallic inks for the titles and the frame design.
