Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens – The Light

This is my first of two entries for the Star Wars: The Force Awakens contest. I wanted to create two separate images set on the landscape of Jakku, one featuring Rey and the other featuring Kylo Ren. These images are meant to juxtapose the light side and dark side of the Force. This particular piece features Rey scavenging the sunset deserts of Jakku, harkening back to the imagery of a young Luke Skywalker on Tatoonie. Finn’s downed TIE fighter in the background serves as a premonition of the journey she is about to embark on. Photoshop CS5 – 300 DPI format
