Above in the crimson primordial sky, Mandy. She is Red’s motivation, and the heart of the story. Below, Red stands at the final doorway of his revenge as Jeremiah Sand awaits. He exudes a cosmic darkness having an effect on everything around him.

I wanted to capture the ethereal beauty of the cinematography, but also the hellish and psychedelic tone of the film. Mandy often speaks with Red about different aspects of the galaxy while reading her book. Her fate only makes it more fitting that she exists in the crimson sky.
