Favourite era for movie posters: the 70s. In awe with Saul Bass’ work, its influence on mine is obvious. It’s the reason I’m doing it in the first place. A taste for simplicity, a love for empty blocks, silhouettes, and negative space, I have a rule: if it’s not working with three colours, then I’m doing something wrong. I’ve been trying more recently to bend that rule to avoid repeating myself, by using gradients (with yet the 3-colour palette thing), and I’m still experimenting.
