Warning: Children Floating

I wanted to capture the most iconic moment from the movie while thinking outside of the box because everyone knows about the Georgie scene. I decided to create a Pennywise version of the Children Crossing sign seen in everyday life as it references the fact that only children are being taken and that people are aware of the abductions but are doing nothing about it to the point where it’s part of their lives now. When creating the artwork I thought the child could be Georgie so I drew the character in the signature rain coat and with an arm removed referencing the R-rated version of the scene in this movie. The colours of the sign allude to the colours of Pennywise and what looks like rust on the sign is actually dried blood upon closer inspection. The title is placed to give the illusion of the sign post while also guiding the eye.
