The Vaginyls

The Vaginyls is a female punk-rock band with the mantra, “Let’s give ’em hell.” To reference Florence Welch, they act like a “kiss with a fist” and sound like a high-pitched night terror. They embody an emotional roller coaster, albeit one that ends in happiness. Their influences include Janis Joplin, Joan Jett, and Alison Mosshart. To visualize their debut album, “I Get Wet,” I created a playful graphic that flagrantly combines the vaginal and vinyl reference: Insert record here. Poster Design: Elizabeth Herrmann
