Macbeth

I have never been more proud of a project. I sincerely think this is the best illustration I’ve ever done and I’m excited to keep working and pushing that boundary in 2023.

It’s always been my dream to do posters, and after hearing of some of my idols and the greats did shows at Gallery1988, that goal was added to the list too. With this, it looks like we’ve made it.

Screenprinting this was a bit of a struggle, but the prints are, well they’re unique and limited to a show edition of 100 and following the gallery show, I’ll have aroundddd 30 APs and misprints available.

Gallery1988 teamed up with the LA Public library to celebrate all things books for their 150th anniversary. There couldn’t have been a better topic for me, as I’m an avid reader and always have been.

So, with that, I sat down to rehash an idea that has plagued me for over 7 years… how can I tackle the mammoth that is Macbeth? I tried in highschool art class, as I reread the play for English. Good, not great. I tried again in college, for a color with intent class. Not even good. And so I risked it, one last go for one of the projects that could be the most important to me. I think we did it.
