Dickinson Apple Tv Poster

Hailee Steinfeld stars in the upcoming Apple Tv+ series as Emily Dickinson, the whole tone of the show seems to be lighthearted and Hailee’s portrayal of Dickinson from the trailer shows her to be a kind of rebel against societal norms.

I wanted to convey this in this poster, because at the time this is set is was well known that people were encouraged not to smile in photographs or as they were called then “Daguerreotype”. At the same time I was trying to highlight the more tongue in cheek nature that was shown in the trailer.
