“There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory, and though I can hide my cold gaze and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable: I simply am not there.”

I did another American Psycho drawing 10 months ago, the drawing has bugged me for a long time, the composition lacks tension and connection, overcomplicates the scene, and my skills were not capable to create the likeness of figures. I see that drawing as a learning process and I knew I have to create a new one to do the movie justice.

This is the first time to incorporate colour into my pencil drawing, the blood is drawn with watercolour and marker. the blood is carefully hand-drawn rather than the actual splash, swipe all the way to see the version without the blood splash.
